I hope my children don't hate me when they grow up. I have a tendency to find something wrong with a parent when their children don't like them, hoping that it's not out of my control whether they like me or not. It seems to me that a lot of people close to my age hate at least one of their parents. So either our parents generation is really fucked up (I vote for this one) oe a parent has almost no control whether their kids like them or not.
